Anyone ever seen the gravitor parts defy so called gravity without ELECTRICITY??????

I will answer within the quote, I do not like doing so but I am short for time at the moment

Fruitbat wrote:OK. I think I got this a while ago actually, the gravitor seems to work best on a rising edge, so one would imagine that to get a decent continous linear output one is going to have to give it a sawtooth or "flyback" style waveform.

Having worked on analog video for a very long time and even taught it, I don't believe a "flyback waveform" is what you mean. The sawtooth and flyback wave are a bit different. A flyback waveform will have sync pulses in it and can be described as a complex or composite wave. A simple sawtooth doesn't. But you have the basic concept, essentially.

The problemo as I understand it, is that the gravitor likes very high voltages in comparison to my beloved lifter which starts doing it's thang at 8Kv and getting a sawtooth to do very high voltages is technically a bit problematic or as I like to call it "bloody expensive" if you try and buy your way out of the problem.

I achieved the 51% efficiency at a voltage less than 15KV. Getting a sawtooth at high voltage from 0 volts to even the 15KV I have mentioned would be problematic but there are ways around it that are NOT expensive and those ways are dictated by how the Gravitor functions. You thinking in terms of a lifter and that would be in absolute values.

There is of course a cheap and cheerful way of generating your eht sawtooth if you need such a thing, up to and past (if neccesary) the mythical 200Kv mark. But maybe that isn't the problem.

Okay, don't feel much like figuring out "eht" but I never said "my (your)sawtooth". Who said you need 200KV?

I've no real idea of course, but I have formed the idea that the Gravitor can be made to produce more grams of thrust in a much smaller area than a lifter BUT since it's much heavier it's less likely to actually "fly".

On its face value you would be correct. A VERY much smaller area.

I can see instantly why this system would suit a nuclear sub or large ship. But you still need more thrust without adding more mass before it will fly.

Have I got it right so far?

Sounds to me that you are confusing mass with weight and volumetric area.

Not quite correct.

I would guesstimate that the super conductive wafers need resistive material between them.
A humans spine is interesting with such in mind.

This seems like the right place to ask the question.
Is there a reason that I cannot search the forum?

When I try I get this:
Sorry but you cannot use search at this time. Please try again in a few minutes.
(which never works)

For some unknown reason, you were assigned with no permissions. Can't figure it out. Anyway, I assigned permissions and you should have no problem. I tested them out and the search function works.

Search only will function for logged in members.

IF I click on the "view new posts" feature I get the response "Sorry but you cannot use search at this time.
Please try again in a few minutes". The search button does the same.
