Election Year

It's a POTUS election year again. I think this is the most unusual one I've seen. My personal point of view, is that our two party system needs serious remodeling. I would really like to see viable candidates from four or five parties. I don't expect that to happen in my current lifetime. I hope that my grandchildren will have the good fortune to have more variety in candidates for public office.

We definitely need to overhaul the system. I am failing to see how anyone who votes in the primary has any say in who becomes the candidate when the delegates can go and just simply vote whomever they wish. Somehow, I see it similar to the Electoral College which I believe is an outdated system from an era where communication was measured in days and on horseback.

Colorado doesn't even have a primary. It's done by caucus, which many people were shut out of, due to lack of space. Then we have the unaffiliated voters, like me, who refuse to sign on with a group that refuses to walk it's walk. Talk is cheap.
