Pilgrimage

Today was the second annual pilgrimage to Great Sand Dunes National Park. Thanks to our quite wet spring, Medano Creek was running high and fast. I had the opportunity to ground myself with the Elements of Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit. The spirit of the dunes has attracted me ever since I read Sand Dune Pony years ago. The book is still in print, so I purchased a copy for my grandkids at the gift shop. We're all looking forward to next year's pilgrimage. I feel that my spirit was renewed. And sandblasted.
