Tabitha has taken a turn for the worse, I am wondering if my accidental flip into a splat on the floor added some internal injury. She has not been eating again, looks and acts very lethargic. She does not seem comfortable when laying down and has also been wetting herself and where she has been sleeping.

I am a bit of a mess right now, thinking the unthinkable, is it time? I am not sure what to do, I am giving her a break tonight on the oil but I fear right now that might be all she is getting to eat. I have not seen anything from her except for a really strange looking stool I cleaned off the floor near the box. It looked almost like a half internal part/half stool hybrid gross thing.

She does seem to be appreciating any attention either, she is getting up and moving away, and that seems to be an effort. Oh man, I never meant to hurt her the other day, trying to prevent her jumping off my lap and I made it 2x worse. I looking at her trying to sleep on my bed, she just looks so uncomfortable. This has all really become noticeable the last few days, that is why I think I may have caused or at least contributed to it.

Tomorrow I am going to give her some more oil and pray for the best though it is not looking good.

Oh matey, I feel for you and your poor little cat.

The advice everyone has been givng me about mine is "don't let him suffer" I'm enormously gifted in my battle because I have my vet and G/F to give me that all important second opinion, whilst judging the matter.

Does your country not have any sort of vetinary charitable organisations who might help you? If you have a local cat rescue charity they can be good for the advice sometimes.

Both me and my G/F really hope you find access to a vet or other experienced cat-ologist. (Ok "catologist" is a made up word, but I think you know what I am getting at). Talk to your cat, and be open to "hear" her answer as to whether she wants to continue the struggle...

Just in case you don't know this, cats can't fast for very long without self destructing in what I am told is a painful process involving their liver after only three days of eating nothing.. (Please google it, Luis has already highlighted shortcomings n my abillity to process and organise information, but I'm sufficiently sure of my facts to be passing on what I think I know...)

I hope and pray you both have a better day today.

Thank you Fruitbat, sound advice all the way around. Since Friday, Tabitha has shown her resilience, while she is letting me know that she is not happy I set her back, she continues to fight. There has been some minor eating, she was up and around at the water bowl this morning. Some of her movements have me very worried however I am going to trust we have been on the right path or at least I am doing my best to make her comfortable, her positions on the bed look stronger today.

I think I am going to stay the course, for better or worse. At some point, and I think she would understand, you have to stop giving up your personal power to others and do your best and let the universe sort out the rest. I still intend on taking her to the vet for follow up tests when I feel like we are going to actually see some positive results, right now is no longer that time as she is fighting and so am I. She wet my bed recently, not wanting to get up and go to the box I imagine however there has also been some urine outside and inside the box, so she is trying.

I hope BJ is doing well, looking forward to your next update, thanks again FB.

Just made an appointment at the vet, thought I saw blue tongue when Tabitha was throwing up the oil I gave her. She put up one hell of a fight, I love her dearly and do not want her to suffer anymore. I hope the vet has a different opinion of the situation but I have already begun to say my goodbyes. I love her so very much.

Thank you all for your support, this has not been easy.

Geez Soloma....I feel for you. I know what that last trip is like. I hope so much that your Tabitha either becomes healthy or is at peace and may you be wise enough to make the hard decisions, whatever they may be.

Goodnight my pretty perfect precious princess, I love you very much.

Thank you Mikado, she is at peace now. The vet said pretty much what I was thinking, she was end stage with a slew of complications. She did not think she had more than a week left and no amount of money was going to bring her back. Tabitha put up a great fight, never once complained or let on that she was suffering. It was obvious she was, she was down almost 2/3 of her body weight at final weigh in, I am thinking she lost close to three pounds this past week.

Thank you all for your support, it was nice to have you all invested and involved.

Much sadness for your loss, Soloma, may your heart heal and your princess be so welcome in her return to the oneness of the All, as an animal lover, I can feel your pain, and rest assured Christine and I are by your side every step of the way.

Love and sympathy my friend.
